Hi – I’m Jim Vasconcellos. I formed Boomerang Concepts™ out of a passion for helping others pursue
better results in their professional and personal lives.
As a speaker and seminar leader for over 15 years, I've delivered performance improvement programs in
the areas of personal leadership, management and business communication. These engagements have
given me the opportunity to share my strategies and insights to thousands of people across the United
States, Canada and Europe.
Although I was born and raised in New Orleans, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State
University in Atlanta in Speech Communications with a minor in Public Relations. This program exposed
me to the intricacies of public speaking, persuasive speech, debate and interpersonal communication. As
my interest in the development of people increased, I chose to become MBTI Qualified through the
Association for Psychological Type in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Putting this knowledge to work, I
began my career in the banking and data processing industries in training and development.
The more time I spent with business personnel, the more attuned I became to the challenges that
prevented us from achieving our objectives. With a strong desire to turn this around, I started my business
and a life of being on the road doing what I love to do - speaking to make a difference.
Today, as a professional member of the National Speakers Association, I'm continuing my quest to
change business cultures - one mind at a time! It's been a journey for me and I look forward to working
with you on yours.
